The 120 day implementation phase is nearing an end. Effective September 30, 2008, filing of export information must be done electronically. Strictenforcement of this policy will be in effect. Severe penalties with fines up to $10,000.00 per violation will be imposed. Violations include delaye dfiling, falsifying information and failure to file. Shipments will be tracked and flagged as suspicious if filing is continually amended. Therefore, information supplied at the time of filing must be correct. Repeat offenders are subject to penalties and possible seizure of cargo. |
